• Regional Consultation on Young Trade Union Leaders' Engagement in Labour Migration Governance in South Asia

  SARTUC, in partnership with Mondiaal FNV, conducted the "Regional Consultation on Young Trade Union Leaders' Engagement in Labour Migration Governance in South Asia" in Colombo, Sri Lanka on 2-3 July 2024. This consultation aimed to empower young trade union leaders to advocate for the rights and welfare of migrant workers effectively and equipped with advocacy and campaign tools.
• Formation of SARTUC Youth Committee

  The first Youth Committee Meeting of the South Asian Regional Trade Union Council (SARTUC) was successfully concluded on 3rd July 2024 in Colombo, Sri Lanka with the participation representing all SARTUC affiliates from (Bangladesh, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka).
• Seminar on Equal Opportunity for All and Launch of Gender Equality Campaigns

  Realising the importance of redefining gender, equality, and inclusivity in South Asia necessitates a holistic approach that acknowledges and uplifts all individuals, regardless of their gender identity or sexual orientation, SARTUC organised a seminar, in collaboration with South Asia Gender Platform (SAGP) and Mondiaal FNV, “Redefining Gender, Equality, and Inclusivity - South Asian Perspectives on Gender and Rights” at Kathmandu, Nepal on 15-18 February 2024.
